Studio Manager

About the Role
This is a unique opportunity to join a company in the midst of exciting growth. The Studio Manager will play a key role in the transition from our current studio space into our brand-new flagship location in downtown Bethesda. During the first three months, you’ll work closely with the Owner to support scheduling, operational coordination, and the studio launch process. As the business grows, so will your responsibilities and authority—eventually evolving into a full integrator-level leadership role.

Work Schedule
- Full-time, salaried, based on-site in Bethesda
- General hours: Monday–Friday, with weekends and occasional holidays as needed
- Flexibility is expected during studio launch, events, or high-demand periods
- Typical workload: 40–45 hours/week, with up to 50 hours during peak periods
Initial Responsibilities (First 3–6 Months)
- Assist with the transition from current operations to the new studio
- Support Owner with scheduling, staffing, and system setup as part of the studio launch
- Help manage day-to-day operations while building knowledge of backend systems and procedures
- Coordinate with staff and vendors to ensure a smooth studio opening
- Begin to manage social media engagement and support event logistics
- Begin to oversee and mentor studio interns
Growth Path – Within 12–18 Months
- Manage day-to-day operations and lead the front desk team
- Own lead generation tracking and client communication pipelines
- Oversee social media engagement and execution of the marketing calendar
- Support hiring, onboarding, team accountability, and evaluations
- Participate in financial reporting reviews and strategic planning with Owner
- Lead studio events and manage strategic partnerships
Weekly Activities
- Support weekly team meetings and 1:1 check-ins with staff and Owner
- Track KPIs, scheduling, and member communications
- Write studio newsletter and manage content calendar
- Oversee and support the studio intern(s) in administrative and marketing projects
- Assist with product and supply orders, facility upkeep, and maintenance tracking
- Coordinate social media scheduling and engagement
- Monitor and respond to client feedback and needs
Qualifications
- Certified wellness, fitness, or health professional preferred (e.g., CPT, CES, RYT, Group Fitness, or similar)
- 5+ years of professional experience in health, wellness, fitness, or related service industries preferred
- Confident and capable of teaching a group class or session in a pinch, if needed
- Strong organizational skills and a proactive attitude
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Familiarity with CRM, scheduling platforms, or content creation is a plus
- Passionate about health, wellness, and personal growth
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
Compensation & Benefits

Nesfield Performance is a multidisciplinary wellness studio offering physical therapy, personal training, massage therapy, and nutrition coaching—all under one roof. This summer, we’re opening the doors to our brand-new flagship location in the heart of Bethesda at 7834 Wisconsin Ave.
We’re seeking a Head Physical Therapist who is excited to step into a leadership role, collaborate with an innovative wellness team, and build a thriving physical therapy department from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity for someone who is entrepreneurial, growth-oriented, and ready to make their mark at a pivotal moment in our company’s expansion.
Position Overview
The Head Physical Therapist plays a key leadership role in delivering exceptional client care, developing a strong PT team, and supporting the strategic growth of our physical therapy services. You will work alongside one part-time PT initially, with the opportunity to expand the team as client demand grows.
This role blends clinical excellence with leadership, team-building, and cross-disciplinary collaboration. You’ll work directly with the owner and leadership team to shape the direction and success of physical therapy at Nesfield Performance.
Key Responsibilities
Client Care
- Perform comprehensive assessments and create tailored treatment plans
- Deliver manual therapy, dry needling, exercise prescriptions, and client education
- Track progress, document outcomes, and adapt plans as needed
- Collaborate with our massage, training, and nutrition teams for integrated care
- Provide a high-touch, results-driven experience for each client
Leadership & Growth
- Mentor and support a part-time PT with plans to expand the team
- Lead hiring, onboarding, and development of new PTs
- Set and track performance goals, KPIs, and retention strategies
- Conduct regular 1:1 meetings, evaluations, and team reviews
- Participate in strategic planning for physical therapy service offerings and expansion
Operations & Engagement
- Manage scheduling, follow-ups, session documentation, and retention touch points
- Promote referrals, reviews, and cross-service awareness
- Collaborate on studio-wide wellness events, client workshops, and outreach initiatives
- Contribute educational content for newsletters, blogs, and social media
- Track weekly metrics and contribute to overall studio performance goals
Minimum Qualifications
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Current Physical Therapy license in the State of Maryland
- At least 5 years of clinical experience treating a variety of client populations
- Certified in Dry Needling
- Additional certification or coursework in sports, orthopedics, neurology, and/or women’s health
- CPR/First Aid Certified
- Skilled in manual therapy, movement diagnostics, and client education
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable using tech tools, EHR platforms, and fitness apps (Trainerize a plus)
- Team-oriented, growth-minded, and reliable with a strong attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- 8–10+ years of clinical experience, ideally in a private or wellness-focused setting
- Prior experience managing or mentoring physical therapy staff
- Specialization in orthopedics, sports rehab, women’s health, or neurology
- Passion for wellness and interest in growing within a mission-driven studio
- Comfortable contributing to workshops, service development, and marketing
Compensation & Opportunity
This is a unique opportunity to be a foundational member of our new space in Bethesda. Salary is $85,000–$110,000 with bonus potential tied to performance, growth, and retention. For the right candidate, there is significant income potential and a clear path to long-term leadership within the organization.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Licensed Dietitian-Nutritionist (LDN – Maryland)
- Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS – ANA)
- 2+ years of experience in clinical, integrative, or performance nutrition
- Experience working with a diverse population of clients with varying needs and goals
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

Job Description: The Integrative Nutritionist is responsible for delivering high-quality assessments, individualized programs, and ongoing support to clients focused on optimizing health and performance through nutrition. This role requires consistent communication, content creation, and team collaboration. Nutritionists will track progress via Trainerize, help drive client retention, and participate in wellness initiatives including events, educational sessions, and community outreach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct 90-minute initial assessments
- Design and deliver monthly programs (Tier 2 & Tier 3 clients)
- Provide à la carte sessions (30 or 60 minutes)
- Review labs and provide macro/micro-based plans
- Track client metrics and progress, adjust programs as needed
- Maintain accurate client records and scheduling
- Collaborate with trainers, PTs, and massage therapists for client success
- Host webinars, Q&As, and in-person nutrition events
- Write monthly blogs and educational content
- Create weekly social media tips and engage with the community online
- Support business growth through client referrals, testimonials, and retention
- Attend weekly team and development meetings
- Maintain clean, welcoming nutrition space
- Contribute to studio goals, marketing strategies, and wellness campaigns
- Stay current with trends and research in integrative nutrition
- Participate in quarterly and annual performance reviews and strategic planning
Compensation:
Compensation is commensurate with experience and client load, with significant income potential for motivated practitioners.
Part-Time Starting Pay:
- 45% per session
- $35/hour for administrative duties
Full-Time Pathway: Once a consistent client load is reached (20–25 client hours/week and 30+ hours including admin), the role transitions to salaried.
Estimated Full-Time Salary: $75,000 – $85,000/year

Scope of Responsibilities; not limited to:
